The Antigo Gridiron Club meeting was called to order by President Joel Nowinsky at 6:30. The meeting was held at Schofield Stadium.

FINANCIAL REPORT: Joan Bauknecht gave the financial report. Deb Black made a motion to approve the financial report, Don Strobel seconded the motion.

TOM WEIX, assistant varsity coach came to the meeting. He told us of a grant that he helped work toward in the past year. It is called the HELP Grant. (Health Education for Life Program) He reported that Antigo was 1 of 9 schools that received this grant. The good news is that the school received the grant for $730,000 to be spent on physical fitness equipment and related items and must be spent within the next 3 years. The question is where to house the equipment. Tom is looking for input from the community in general and other organizations. The Gridiron Club will keep you posted on this.

MEET THE ROBINS—Thursday August 20 at Schofield Stadium. Begins at 5:00 with introduction at 6. (Friday the team scrimmages at Wausau West).

ANNUAL GRIDIRON TAILGATE: 8/28/09, 4-6:30 in the West Elementary Parking Lot.—Antigo vs Wausau West that night.

Plans were finalized for the 2 events.

STADIUM WORK: The ticket booth has been taken down and work is in progress for the new ticket booth and moving the fence.

The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 6:30 at Schofield Stadium.
