The Antigo Gridiron Club meeting was called to order by President Joel Nowinsky
at 6:35. The meeting was held outside at Nick’s Tap.
FINANCIAL REPORT: Joan Bauknecht gave the financial report. Don Strobel made a motion to approve the financial report, Deb Black seconded the motion.
TICKETS: At the next meeting we will decide on all items for the small raffle
and have tickets made. Some of the items are a William Henderson autographed
football jersey, donated by the Malys, a football t-shirt quilt, donated by
Joan Bauknecht, a team autographed helmet, t- shirts, a sweatshirt and misc.
other items.
PROJECTS: Tearing down the old concession, building a ticket booth, with money
given by donors (funds on hand).
BOARD OF DIRECTORS held a meeting to appoint directors and elect officers.
There were 5 of the 7 board members present. Matt Shinners agreed to be Chairman
of the Board. 3 Board terms were up. Shinners made a motion that Dan Hoffmeister
and Don Strobel continue serving on the board for another 2 year term, and
Gary Kamps to take the 3rd open position. Brad Henricks seconded the motion,
all in favor.
Shinners made a motion for all of the current officers to remain for another
year. The Board voted unanimously to re-elect all officers.
Other business of the Board—the Board voted to give the officers authority
to make any financial decisions needed without a Board vote at the regular
Gridiron Club meetings (monthly meetings dates & times are published in
the Antigo Daily Journal) as long as 3 of the 4 officers agree. The Board reserves
the right to appoint new officers at any time should the need arise. The Board
will meet twice a year concurrent with a general Gridiron Club meeting. June
meeting will be to elect Board members and appoint officers for following year.
Fall meeting will be to review financial status of the Gridiron Club and verify
account balances. Board meeting adjourned.
Discussed upgrading the player buses to coach buses for all away games, the
Gridiron Club will pay for the additional expense. We will request a meeting
with Tom Kislow, the new Activities Director for the school district.
Vern Cahak will continue to write articles in the Antigo Daily Journal for
the Gridiron Club. Thank you Vern.

NEXT MEETING: The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at the stadium. We would like to meet at 5:30 for a work party to get some things done at the stadium before the regular meeting. We will have food there.
