The Antigo Gridiron Club meeting was called to order by President Joel Nowinsky at 6:35. The meeting was held at Schofield Stadium.

Ed Ourada—Deb Brodziski, Larry Ourada, and Sue Stanton came to the meeting representing the Ourada family. They came to present a check to the Antigo Gridiron Club in memory of their father, Ed Ourada. Ed was longtime owner of Dixie Lunch in Antigo and loved and supported all Antigo sports. Thank you to the Ourada family, the money will be put toward something the team needs in memory of Ed.

FINANCIAL REPORT: Joan Bauknecht gave the financial report. She reported bills that came in, including the bill for the uniforms that were replaced. Don Strobel made a motion to approve the financial report, Barry Stockhaus seconded the motion.

TICKETS: A discussion was held about raffle tickets. It was decided that the Gridiron Club would do the smaller ticket raffle with an autographed Henderson Jersey, donated by Ron Maly family, and other items. After a discussion, Don Strobel made a motion to discontinue the $100.00 raffle this year and revisit next year. Kathy Waldvogel seconded the motion and all were in favor. Because of the economy, and because the Gridiron Club has several other fundraisers going it was decided to discontinue this year, until we have another major project earmarked for the proceeds.

PROJECTS: Some of the projects for this year that the Gridiron Club will be helping with are painting of the stadium, removal of the buildings behind the concessions, possibly a ticket booth and a storage building at the practice field. This will be in addition to helping the Dave Brandt League (youth starter league), and the regular expenses. Careful consideration of donations and expenditures are discussed at each meeting.

JUNE ELECTIONS: The elections for Officers and appointment of Board of Directors will be held at the next meeting. We will check with Mike Winter to be sure that these are being held correctly according to the by-laws. Board of Directors terms are up for Dan Hoffmeister, Don Strobel, and Joe Mattek. Officers will also be elected.

NEXT MEETING: The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 16 2009 at 6:30. It will be held on the deck outside of Nick’s Tap.
