Antigo Grid Iron Club Meeting Minutes Monday April 4, 2011

The Antigo Gridiron Club meeting was called to order by President Ron Maly at 6:30. The meeting was held at the Antigo Elk’s Club.

The Treasurer’s report was given by Joan Bauknecht.

Stadium cushions, looking into selling these. They will be durable seats.

End Zone signs, letters for renewal will go out this week.

Helmets—when we sell helmets, we need to strip pads, and have stickers on them that commemorative helmet, used for display only. Discussed having players or anyone interested in helping, scrub them up and put new Antigo stickers on them so that they are ready to sell. This will be after new helmets arrive.

Discussed a very generous donation from Ed Vavruska. Made a plan to go visit him to say thank you, and present him with a helmet plaque.

Talking about ideas for future larger projects. What we have been talking about is a new press box, and bleachers. Putting a plan together, to get the ball rolling. Discussed getting pricing for what we would need to have to make the field and bleachers to be able to accommodate bigger tournament games in Antigo. We would need a contractor in charge of the project.

Kathy Waldvogel made a motion to purchase a defibrillator, Neil Anderson Second. This will stay with the team.

Joel will talk to Sandy Robrecht and Tom Kislow about ordering one.

Coach upgrades for buses will continue this year.

Next Meeting is set for May 10, 2011. At 7:00 pm. Hudson Street Park, weather permitting.
