The Antigo Gridiron Club meeting was called to order by President Joel Nowinsky
at 6:35. The meeting was held at Jimmy’s Pizza. There were 10 present.
FINANCIAL REPORT: Joan Bauknecht gave the financial report. Brad Henricks
made a motion to approve the financial report, Ron Pegarsch seconded the motion.
HELMETS: The Gridiron Club will sell helmets that did not pass inspection.
$25.00 each with A stickers & face masks. Will possibly use one in a
ticket raffle also.
At the March meeting Ron & Kim Maly donated an autographed William Henderson
jersey. Discussion on how to raffle this. Sandy Warren is checking on the
cost of framing.
2009 MEMBERSHIP LETTER—People who attended stuffed and put labels on envelopes
and will mail out this week. One class of alumni was done, and parents will
be sent letters within the next month. Will do more classes if anyone can
get us reunion books from the following classes 1961-64, 1966, 1970, 1981,
1985, and 1989-1998, please contact Jean Nowinsky. A special thank you to
Marcus Wiegert for helping with the design.
JUNE ELECTIONS COMING UP: Officers and Board of Directors positions. If anyone
is interested in serving, contact Joel Nowinsky.
FUTURE PROJECTS: Removal of old restrooms and buildings at the stadium, and possibly moving the fence up for more parking. Discussed new ticket booth, more work at the field and painting.
GRILL: After discussion, Brad Henricks made a motion to approve $500.00 for a grill to keep at the building for Gridiron Club use for events to make things easier. Lynn Mattek seconded the motion. All were in favor.
NEXT MEETING: The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2009, 6:30 at the building at Schofield Stadium.
