The Antigo Gridiron Club meeting was called to order by President Ron Maly at 6:30.   The meeting was held in Boettcher’s Hall.

The treasurers report was given by Joan Bauknecht.

Those in attendance included All Officers and Board of Directors along with Tom Kislow, athletic director, and a few others.  Mr. Kislow thanked the Gridiron Club for the work we’ve done so far, and noted that concussions are a serious matter, even though a helmet won’t guarantee that a player won’t get a concussion, the new concussion helments are a step in the right direction to prevent them.   Mr. Kislow said that they are moving into setting a baseline testing on concussions.  Greatnorthernconference.org puts out a calendar of all sports events and practices.  You can subscribe to be alerted to the website.  He noted that there are 5 home games this year.

A hot chocolate maker was donated to the Gridiron Club by Rick & Cathy Lebrun of Culvers.  Gridiron will pay to have it installed in the building at the football field for the other school clubs who run the stand during the games

Defibrillators:  The Gridiron is exploring whether the school would need another defibrillator that could be on hand at all games.

Talked about selling the helmets that will no longer be used—Decided on $25.00 per helmet, plus shipping.

Discussed selling stadium seats-- Don Strobel made a motion Kathy Waldvogel second

Discussed new goal posts, they are $4-5000.

The meeting was adjourned, and after the meeting, the membership letters were put together to be mailed.  Thank you to all who helped.

The next meeting will be Monday, April 4, 2011 at the Elk’s Lodge, time is 6:30.
