The Antigo Gridiron Club meeting was called to order by President Ron Maly at 6:30.   The meeting was held in Boettcher’s Hall.

FINANCIAL REPORT:  Joanie Bauknecht reported on income and expenses since the last meeting. She read off balances in accounts.  New forms for lottery tickets and raffle applications were signed by the president and notorized.  All tax information has been sent to the accountants, Brettingen, Smits, Novak, Bastle.  Each page of the checkbook, bank statements, check disbursements out of each account are given to them, with an explanation of what was spent and brought in.

UPDATE : At the last couple meetings, The Gridiron Club has been discussing the purchase of  concussion helmets special chin straps and mouth guards for every player, Freshman through Varsity.  A vote was taken, and it was decided that they will be purchased.  The Community Health Foundation at Langlade Hospital has granted us $7,000 of the $14,000 that was applied for. Thank you to the Health Foundation for this tremendous donation and to Shelley Payant for her work on this.  The Gridiron Club has always made our player’s safety a top priority and will continue to do so in the future.

Gridiron will be purchasing new pads for the blocking sled.  We are looking into the costs.

Also checking on costs on new goal posts, whether we buy or build them.

At the March meeting, we will put membership letters together, to go out mid March.

Thursday, August 11 will be Meet the Robins.  The July meeting will be planning for that.
