Antigo Grid Iron Club Meeting Minutes Monday October 17, 2011
President: Ron Maly Treasurer: Joanie BauknechtThe Antigo Gridiron Club meeting was called to order by President Ron Maly at 6:30 p.m. The meeting was held in the team meeting room at Schofield Stadium.
Treasurer Joan Bauknecht could not be at the meeting, there will be a Treasurers report at the next meeting.
Tim Prunty came and gave information on the upcoming referendum. He handed out a packet with the most frequently asked questions about this. If you have any questions about the referendum and why this is being proposed, please request a packet so that you are informed before voting on November 8. If you have any further questions you can contact him or Roxanne Bornemann at the school.
Dave Brandt League Helmets. This will be the 3rd season since they were reconditioned. They are supposed to be gone through every 5 years. We would like to get into a rotation so that they are all certified within the 5 years. Joel proposed that we do 1/3 of the helmets this year. He is waiting to get numbers so that we can bring it up at the next meeting for a vote.
Jerseys for seniors—as a way to keep the jerseys rotating, the Gridiron Club offers the jerseys to the players for $30.00 for the white, and $60.00 for the maroon. New jerseys are then ordered for the next year. The players can buy their jerseys at the banquet.
Banquet—voted to have the banquet at VFW. Joel Nowinsky made a motion and Don Strobel seconded. The Gridiron Club pays for the players, coaches and wives meals, and for a cake, stamps and other miscellaneous.
Joel-- Floor in building is slippery. We need to purchase mats, so that no one gets slips and gets hurt. Motion to buy mats for the room. Joel made Motion, Cindy Erickson seconded, all in favor.
Thank you to FS Fast Stop for the great deal on sandwiches for the last away game, and for donating ice.
As of tonight, there is no time and date set for the first playoff game.
